How to Protect Yourself
Verify the Caller – Never trust an unsolicited message—confirm you’re speaking with the REAL Geek Squad at Best Buy. Use Official Contacts – Best Buy provides direct phone numbers—call them first before engaging with any suspicious messages. Never Click Links – If you receive an email, delete it immediately—don’t click, don’t reply, don’t engage. Report It – Notify the Attorney General or local police to help shut down the scam.
