Scammers are impersonating law enforcement officials or government agents, pressuring these victims to pay a fee to supposedly retrieve their stolen personal and financial information. **DO NOT FALL for their demands.**
Real law enforcement officers and legitimate government employees will **never** ask for payments via cryptocurrency, gift cards, or other unconventional methods, nor will they pressure you to pay through phone calls, emails, social media messages, or the U.S. mail.
If you receive such a request, hang up immediately or disregard it. Then, forward the phone number, email, or social media contact information to the **real FBI**. Protect yourself and report these fraudulent attempts as soon as possible. Stay vigilant!
