In this meaningful episode of Chatting with Betsy, Sherri Rosen storytelling with purpose takes center stage. Sherri is the founder of Sherri Rosen Publicity, LLC, in Manhattan, and the author of Publicity From The Trenches. She’s known for helping authors amplify their voices while using her own to foster connection and change.
One of Sherri’s standout publicity campaigns was for How To Satisfy A Woman Every Time and Have Her Beg for More!, a bestseller that sold over 25 million copies and topped the New York Times list for 63 weeks.
But her story doesn’t stop there.
Sherri shared with Betsy how she joined The Human Library®, a nonprofit organization where people become “Books” to challenge bias and encourage personal dialogue. After training, Sherri chose the title “Jewish,” opening herself to deeply personal questions from “Readers” across the world.
While she was nervous at first, the experience helped her realize how storytelling can be both a shield and a bridge. The Human Library® offers both virtual and in-person events—including a location in Park Slope, Brooklyn, where Sherri will be speaking live.
Betsy and Sherri also explored the idea that we’re all “walking libraries”—filled with stories that matter. Sherri emphasized listening to elders, honoring their journeys, and learning from their wisdom.
As part of her mission of Sherri Rosen storytelling with purpose, she highlighted the dark side of digital life—keyboard bullies and online cruelty. She urged listeners to use social platforms with kindness and intention.
Sherri also described how storytelling builds self-confidence and communication skills. She’s even studied the art at The Magnet Theater in NYC to deepen her craft.
