About the Guest

Sheron Mingo Y is the author of Two Remarkable Novelettes: Volume 1 and 2 and the Vegan Delectable cookbook series (Volumes 1–V). She is a trained poet with a Master of Fine Arts in Creative Writing.

Her authentic and insightful poetry reflects both the difficult and beautiful aspects of life, shaped by her personal experiences. Sheron has received the Roger B. Dooley Award for Creative Writing, won prizes in poetry and children’s story competitions, and was awarded a Frances Perkins Scholarship and a Presidential Award for literary volunteer work.

She is also a speaker, entrepreneur, and book and publishing coach, recognized as an Alignable Local Business Person for Arverne, New York from 2021 to 2025.

Sheron was also a caregiver for her mother, Megan, who passed away on February 14, 2025.
