However Today, Dr. Mark Straus will be discussing the problems with Healthcare. Yes, we all agree that there are major issues in our Health Care System.
Dr. Straus discusses being your own advocate. He talks about what you need to do on a visit to your healthcare provider. Important to write down your health questions and have them with you to ask and discuss with your physician. You have to ask questions so you understand what the issues are to make decisions for you.
Dr. Straus also suggested that if you are not sure about the treatment given you should go for a second opinion and to make a more formative decision for the treatment suggested. You need to find out the cost of the procedure is going to cost, medications, and know you’re of pocket expenses will be. We may not be able to control the major issues in the Health Care System, but we can be an advocate ourselves with the Doctor we choose and speak up for our own health.
