Having a loved one that has been diagnosed with Dementia/Alzheimer’s is stressful enough but if you add another equalization that the Dementia patients also may have heart issues or diabetes as examples is truly overwhelming. How do you as the caregiver work through this with little or no help? How does it affect your Health?
There could be some risk factors associated with cardiovascular problems, diabetes or hypertension as examples for the Dementia Patient. The different conditions can impact in a very complex way for the patient and the caregiver. The presence of dementia and health problems will affect the ability of the individual to manage this. Now the role of the caregiver can be overwhelming with dementia and the health issues the dementia patient may have. Christina addresses this and more on the interview.
