Renaud the wife of Mayor Alexander Renaud of St.Mere-Eglise located in France. The discussion led to how Simone Renaud was discovered when Life Magazine took a picture of her putting flowers on Brigadier General Teddy Roosevelt Jr’s grave.

Based on that article from Life Magazine, SimoneRenaud started receiving letters from American parents, and wives of servicemen asking Simone Renaud to take pictures of their loved one’s graveside and asked her to place flowers on their graves for them.

Simone Renaud corresponded with families for 44 years then her sons took over. Simone Renaud was an incredibly compassionate woman who wrote to families and made sure the gravesides were taken care of for many years!
