Betsy Wurzel welcomes today’s guest, Jerry Glazer, who is a Best-Selling Writer and Author of Vietnam Uncensored: 365 Days in a Nightmare. Jerry Glazer is a Decorated Vietnam Veteran who served as a leader of a Special Ops Team, later became a successful entrepreneur, and remains a highly requested speaker. In this very informative and enlightening interview, Jerry provides an in-depth history lesson on how the United States became involved in the Vietnam War — a war that, in Jerry’s viewpoint, was built on lies and deceit. He explains the tremendous losses of young men and women who died in Vietnam, as well as the Vietnam veterans who later died from suicide and Agent Orange.

Jerry discusses his own experiences during the Vietnam War, describing how his team formed a brotherhood with a bond that lasts a lifetime. He reflects on how insane the war felt, the missions they were ordered to carry out, the desperate things people did to survive, and how PTSD and guilt stayed with him long after returning home.

Jerry also shares how writing Vietnam Uncensored was both cathartic and painful. He wanted people to know what really happened in Vietnam and to honor the memories of his fellow brothers. Jerry served from 1967 to 1968 and witnessed the Tet Offensive firsthand.

All proceeds from Jerry’s book go to The Kaufman Fund, a nonprofit organization that helps support veterans in multiple ways.

Betsy highly recommends visiting Jerry Glazer’s website to order the book, listen to Jerry’s NPR interview, subscribe to his newsletter to receive the first chapter and updates, and connect with Jerry directly:
