This week Betsy talks about the emotional side of being a caregiver. – There maybe many types of emotions that may surface as you proceed as a caregiver. Here are a few Examples, Guilt, Sadness, Anger, Grief are just a few.
There are many caregivers that are reluctant to talk about these feeling, because they fear of being judged by family members or others. They also judged themselves harshly for not doing something better for their loved ones. They are afraid to speak about these negative feelings they have. They put undo stress on themselves and feel no one truly understands.
If these caregivers do not pay attention to these feelings, they could end up with poor sleep and illness or other problems.
When the caregiver admits to their feelings, they may find solutions to help them better cope. Surround yourself with Like mined people that maybe able to suggestions solutions that can help you cope.
