In the first month of 2021, the show has been taking a deep dive into key themes on living fearlessly in the post-pandemic world. Throughout January, the spotlight is on our ability to set and achieve goals in uncertain times; and we explore the roles of fear, resilience, beliefs, and blind-spots in this process.

In this episode, Dr. Mandy Simon and Dr. Gordon MacMillan (the show’s co-creator) draw on muscle testing to explore The Importance of the Subconscious Mind in Setting Goals You Can Actually Achieve.

The subconscious mind is like a hard drive, recording everything that has happened in our lives. It’s important because it actually determines the outcomes of the choices we make in life. No matter how hard we might try otherwise, things don’t happen unless our subconscious minds want them to.

Our bodies carry an electromagnetic field, which means we each have a frequency. In fact, everything on the planet has a frequency. Joy is a frequency, fear is a frequency, love is a frequency, even diseases carry their own frequency. And if you use the knowledge of your electromagnetic field, you can learn more about yourself through your body reactions than you can uncover with your conscious thoughts.  This is because if something is good for you, your muscles will test with a strong response and if something is not good for you, your muscles will test weakly.

Muscle testing, or applied kinesiology, provides a practical technique to understand what our subconscious mind thinks. By asking questions and getting clear answers we can uncover patterns and deeply held beliefs that may block us from moving forward.
