Humiliation we all face at one time or another.

We always hope that when it comes, we can deal with it directly and not let the opposition win.

Sometimes, it’s not always easy swallowing the humiliation from a situation that we didn’t create. Not all situations are

the blushing type.

Blushing is one way of relieving stress. Of not allowing the opposition to see you sweat, cry, scream or throw a tantrum temper.

Yes, we adults throw our own kind of tantrums whether it’s stomping our feet on the floor, throwing the proverbial plate or

glasses, or just running from the room, out of the house, and hopefully not into the traffic.

Swallowing Humiliation

Humiliation is swallowed. You can make it a point of not inciting the present situation and let yourself burn with

shame. Ask yourself. Whose shame is it?

Yours? Certainly not.

Theirs? Yes. They’re the ones who created the situation in the first place. Perhaps, they were brought up by aliens

who knew no better.

Perhaps, they feel in shaming you, that you won’t reappear on their doorstep ever again. Who knows what goes on in

the minds of people who want to back stab you, hurt you emotionally or mentally, who want to make sure they’ve done

a good job in ruining your day.

Methods

There are ways of dealing with humiliation.

My roster might help you get through the day. You might not agree with what I’m saying, but let me put it this way.

How many days do you plan on living?

That’s my point. Only you can choose to Ignore Humiliation.

Simply walk away from the situation. Or as one friend told me. “I would leave immediately. Who needs that negativity?

Sit there and continue living. You’ve got no control over what other people say and do. If you’re constantly walking away

from your problems, how are you ever going to solve them?

Talk it out with your friend, peer, or loved one. Yes, it’s difficult. Yes, it’s shameful. Yes, it’s almost impossible to win in

this type of situation. It makes you feel better to get it off your chest. To let them know you know WHY they’re shaming

you. In shaming you, they’re shaming themselves.

Points Taken

We’re all going to be humiliated in our lives. If not today, then tomorrow or in the near or far future. Humans love to make

others feel mean, small, and insignificant.

ONLY you can let them.

Until next time… .
