At just nine years old, Diana immigrated to America and faced the challenges of learning a new language and culture. She spoke openly about her painful experiences of assault at ages 12 and 19 and how societyβs silence often deepens survivorsβ wounds. For years she struggled to copeβturning to medication, entering an abusive marriage, and battling addiction before finding her way back to light.
Through honesty and reflection, Diana reminds us that healing after trauma begins when we stop hiding our pain and start facing it with compassion. Her story shows that while we canβt change the past, we can choose to rise above it and create a future grounded in strength and self-love.
Diana also shared her pride in becoming a U.S. citizen and her mission to empower others through creative expression. Her organization, WILD, is now seeking women to contribute their own stories to an upcoming book designed to amplify voices of survival and hope.
