Betsy Wurzel is doing a series on her journey as a caregiver for the past 20 Years. First part of the series was being a caregiver for her mother-in-law Mary Sloan. Today Betsy completes the interview for her mother-in-law Mary Sloan.
Betsy then continues the journey this week with the help she provided with her mother Harriet for the care of her father Howard Wurzel diagnosed with Alzheimer’s.
On this Interview you hear Betsy speak about being a caregiver to her Father and the relationship as a daughter. Her feelings for her father and being the daughter. There are emotions that appear as she is speaking about her father. Also trying to tell her mother to have the financial papers in place as Husbands Advocate.
Betsy speaks very candidly on the process that needs to be in place once the Alzheimer diagnosis has been given. No one realizes how important it will be to have your financial matters in place with the Power of Attorney and Health Care Proxy.
