Finding Your Holy Grail helps people navigate the post-pandemic reality we now find ourselves in.
In this episode, the show’s host, Dr. Mandy Simon, interviews Steve Foran, the founder of Gratitude at Work. Steve is focused on co-creating a happier more connected world and he has set himself the target of making a billion people happier.
They discuss practical steps to help people develop resilience by recognizing the great gifts they have. The secret is to recognize how connected we are to one another – ‘when I look back on my life, I’m ashamed that I used to think I did it all myself. But the truth is that my life had been handed to me on a silver platter – I came to see it as a gift’.
They discuss the importance of starting each day by writing down three things that you’re grateful for. It’s not always easy because life hands us challenging situations. There’s always good in challenging situations – but, you may have to look hard to find them.
This practice takes us from a place of fear to a positive emotional state – it’s a wonderful coping mechanism. Fear creates stress which in turn releases hormones, like cortisol in the body. From an energetic perspective, The Daily Gratitude provides a shield to protect you against a State of Fear.
The show’s Call to Action is to write down three things you are grateful for at the start of each day. Record them electronically or on paper – and this process will ensure they have a lasting impact.
