Today’s guest is Mary Crescenzo multi-hyphenate artist. Mary is a Master Teaching Artist, Playwright, Director, Actor, Podcaster, Singer, and Author of “The Planet Alzheimer’s  Guide” 8 Ways The Arts Can Transform The Life of Your Loved One and Your Own.  Also, Mary also wrote a play called Planet A.

Mary Crescenzo discusses the book and gives examples of using art to connect with your loved one and how important music is to people. Mary also discusses the importance of journaling for the caregiver.  Mary also discusses her play, “Planet A is a social drama about the inner world of Alzheimer’s and the revealing voices of those who visit and reside.

Mary and Betsy discussed how we have to enter the loved one’s planet and how important it is for the public to see the good, bad and ugly parts of Alzheimer’s. Mary also discusses her career working with individuals with dementia and special needs.
