Betsy Wurzel and Marcia Burr : Are you Walking that Road Also?

Written by on November 30, 2019

Betsy Wurzel Host of Chatting with Betsy interview today is with Marcia Burr.   The interview was talking about many things, for example, what is a Happy Place and what does it mean?  They spoke about grieving and how they handled it. Remember not everyone grieves at the same pace.  This discussion is so necessary for you to hear this journey and how you deal with it.  This is life and how do we move through life with our sanity intact.  Both Betsy and Marcia are seasoned caregivers, that have a wealth of knowledge that will be of benefit to you. Remember when they started as caregivers there was very little support or information. Plus no one was willing to talk about Dementia/Alzheimers at that time. These caregivers are the backbone for bringing more awareness to being a caregiver for a loved one. Perhaps they may have more experience than the medical community.

“What is one of the first things you really wish you knew before you stepped into the role of a Caregiver?”

This is also National Caregivers Month a time to recognize, support, and empower family caregivers.  Do something to support the many caregivers that work many hours without much support.  For the families or friends of the caregiver, here is a suggestion.  Why don’t you give some of your free time for the caregiver to have a day to themselves?  What a great early Holiday Gift that would be. Please remember the caregiver and help in some small way.

Make it a Brilliant day
