The ‘FEAR’ Monger

There’s a new game in town. It’s called The ‘FEAR’ Monger. What is a ‘FEAR’ Monger? It preys on your fears.
I usually mute the commercials. I don’t have to hear every sales pitch in the universe trying to sell me stuff I don’t need. Recently, there’s a new kind of commercial out there that caught my attention.
It’s all based on FEAR. What fear? The FEAR OF:
hackers
security
death
health
retirement
Alzheimer’s
investments
college tuition
falling
accidents
raising children
getting your children into good colleges
cheating
drinking
opioids
war
immigrants
The list is endless. Only you can add more. Only you can live in an isolated world where FEAR is no more.
FEAR is a natural part of life. It’s part of our behavior. Flight or sticking around is what motivates us. Is it our curiosity that kicks in or do you just want to stick around for the h of it. Only time and you will know the difference.
I know that I can’t share that world–a world of safety where the walls, floors, and ceilings are lined with mattresses to keep me safe. Life isn’t like that nor do I want it to be like that.
I like to take chances. What I call “leaps of faith.” I like to know that at the end of the day that FEAR hasn’t paralyzed me from going ahead with my life.
I’ll agree there’s allot to FEAR. The FEAR of the unknown, of failing, of not keeping faith, of not being responsible, of not connecting, of not ? You fill in the blanks.
However, life is worth living. Be choosy. Pick your FEARS. Keep them under control. Be aware of them. Understand them.
But, don’t let FEAR keep you or stop you from living the life you want, desire, or love.

You should glance at Yahoo’s home page and watch how they create post headlines to grab people to
open the links. You might add a video or a picture or two to
grab people interested about what you’ve written. Just my opinion, it would bring your
blog a little bit more interesting.
