Betsy Wurzel’s guests are Dr. Perry Zurn, Associate Professor at American University and the Author of Curiosity and Power: The Politics of Inquiry. Dr. Dani S. Bassett is the J. Peter Skirkanich Professor of Bioengineering at the University of Pennsylvania and received a MacArthur Fellowship in 2014.
Dr. Perry Zurn and Dr. Dani S. Bassett are identical twins who co-wrote and co-authored their book, “CURIOUS MINDS” The Power of Connection. Dr. Zurn and Dr.Bassett discussed why they wrote this book, why curiosity is important, and how we can encourage curiosity in our children, in the workplace, and in education.
We also discussed the three different styles of curiosity, The Butterfly, The Hunter, and the Dancer. They also discussed how curiosity connects us to each other! In Betsy’s opinion, This book should be in every home and school library!
