Health Care: Nurse March Ohio

Sheila Wilson’s guest today is Asley L. a registered nurse for 5 years.

Ashley represents 1700 people (including healthcare workers) who want to make a change in healthcare in Ohio. They are pushing for legislation for safe staffing ratios, safer work environments, and other issues in this petition. https://www.change.org/NurseMarch-Ohio

They are so far fully funded by Ohio nurses, STNA, Respiratory Therapists, Medical students, physicians, and other Ohio citizens.

They are going to the Statehouse on May 12th, 2022 for a peaceful demonstration. They are advocating for safer work environments for healthcare workers which in turn helps to keep people in Ohio safe if they are seeking medical care in Ohio hospitals. Our motto is People over profits. As healthcare facilities have been intentionally understaffed long before covid-19 existed, as this makes profits for healthcare facilities at the expense of patients and healthcare providers.
